Welcome
These Booklets are Wine (Nourishment) from the True Vine of Jesus.
The Evangelism set of three booklets “plant seeds” that will help many to trust in Jesus as His mighty harvest of souls progresses.
The Discipleship sets (supplement and teaching) are meals to help feed babies and more experienced Christians to grow and mature. They help Christians to become more holy, pure, and mature, the Bride of Christ prepared for His return.
In John 15, verses 1 and 4, Jesus said, “I am the true vine... . As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” This is a beautiful picture of Jesus with His church showing that His disciples must connect and draw from Jesus. We are the branches and we must stay connected to Jesus, our vine, by an intimate love connection through faith in Him (see John 15:1-8).
Jesus calls Himself the true vine. He is our vine, and as His church, His branches, we need to become one with Jesus as branches connected to Him. We need to develop an intimate love connection with Him by faith.
The vine, with its roots, brings nourishment and life to the branches so they live and produce. Jesus is our source and strength, so as His disciples, we become productive for His glory. He makes available to us, His church, all the blessings of heaven by faith (Ephesians 1:3).
Father God gave Jesus to bring life to His disciples. We need His true life, energy, and wisdom to defeat our enemy, Satan. He also provides our spiritual food so we grow and remain in good spiritual health, but we must take the time to “eat” it. He gives us salvation and makes available His wisdom, power, and strength! Just as branches depend on the vine to produce fruit, so we need to be connected to Jesus to produce fruit.
To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (II Peter 1:1-3).
Jesus has “given to us ALL things that pertain to life and godliness,” including “great and precious promises.” “Through these you may be partakers of the divine nature.” So through Christ's promises, which become ours through faith, we escape corruption in the world and, instead, build His Kingddom here.
Without Jesus, we are nothing. Without renewal from God, all we would do is evil. The only reason we can produce any fruit pleasing to God is because we are connected to Jesus. He is our source, our strength, and our life. Our fruit includes faith and love; it is a live, active faith led by love.
Faith is from the heart. It starts as we confess Jesus as Lord, then grows step by step as we fully believe more and more of God's promises in the Bible. We obey more and more of His Word, and hear and obey the Holy Spirit better also. We love God first, then love our neighbors with pure motives, right attitudes, and right actions.
God, the Father, is the Vinedresser. Sometimes, true disciples in Christ need pruning by the Vinedresser. Real Disciples love Jesus and seek a holy life. We have the righteousness of Jesus, but we, at times, allow our flesh to rule us, leading to sin. So our Father cuts things within us, so we become more holy, more loving, and live by more faith in Him. To prune us, God convicts us with His Word, by the preaching of His Gospel, or sometimes with troubles, pain, or sickness. This may not be pleasant. Remember, the Vinedresser does all things in love to help us produce the best fruit possible!! Jesus, our vine, is always there to support us (Matthew 28:20)!
Everything Depends on being Connected to Jesus
These booklets are all about connecting to Jesus and keeping Him as our top priority, by choosing to obey the Bible and to follow the Holy Spirit.
If Christians choose to apply these teachings, they will help them stay connected to Jesus, producing good fruit.
